Pot, Parmi and Party at the Whorouly Hotel with Albury band Grooveyard Hammond Combo – a cult name for a record shop. The music is equally eclectic with influences including soul, jazz, blues and rock. It all comes together in the grooveyard – soulful and unique. So get ready to party on Wednesday, 31st December 2014 to welcome in the New Year.

Enjoy a three-course Thai meal, including tom yum goong prawn or laksa chicken mushroom soup as entree, padkrapow chicken chilli basil stir fry or red beef curry as main, and to finish, banana fritters with toasted coconut ice cream. Just $28 per person. Bookings essential.

Will be performing in the beer garden on Sunday, 17 November from 2pm to 4pm. Led by talented Wangaratta musician Luke R Davies, the band uses instruments made from discarded items or recycled materials acquired cheaply. Instruments that have been created include a suitcase bass guitar, banjos and ukuleles made from hub caps, a cigar box fiddle and a hatbox kick drum. Earlier this year Luke and the band won the National Recording Award for their new CD ‘Not a Note Wasted’. A rare opportunity to relax and enjoy this unique band.
